Hüseyin HALICI

Hüseyin HALICI began his primary education in Erzurum and continued in Istanbul. He completed his secondary and high school education at Istanbul Haydarpaşa High School. After graduating from the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering at Yildiz Technical University in 1990, he completed his master's program in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering at Istanbul Technical University Institute of Science in 1993.

Starting his professional career at Türk Telekom A.Ş. Istanbul Anatolian Side Telephone Directorate, Hüseyin Halıcı also began his doctoral studies in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering Program at Istanbul Technical University. He left Türk Telekom A.Ş. and, as a young entrepreneur, co-founded Halıcı Group Ltd. in 1995 with three partners. After completing his doctoral courses, he served his military duty at the Ankara Ministry of National Defense Aircraft Main Factory and Depot Command. He completed his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering in 2004 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. İnci ÇİLESİZ and Prof. Dr. Mustafa ELÇİOĞLU.

Dr. Hüseyin HALICI, who has been the CEO of HALICI Group Ltd., which has passed 30 years, also attaches importance to civil society organizations in addition to his business life. In this context, he served as a Board Member in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th terms at ENOSAD - Industrial Automation Industrialists Association between 2009-2014, and has been serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors in the 6th and 7th terms since 2015.

With a vision to add value to society, he established and presides over the Society 5.0 Academy since 2021.

Additionally, Hüseyin HALICI hosts the program "Dr. Hüseyin Halıcı with Digital Transformation and Society 5.0 Conversations" on ST Industry Radio, which discusses sector problems and solution proposals along with global developments in the digital transformation process covering all sectors, entrepreneurs, students, and employees.
